If your branding imagery feels safe, it is probably being ignored.

The memorable campaigns, the ones that actually move culture, sell collections, and live rent free in the minds of your audience,  are the ones that weren’t afraid to take a risk.

What’s more risky than inviting a live predator to join you on set?

As a Utah editorial photographer, I am far less interested in creating images that are simply beautiful. Beautiful is easy and it’s everywhere. Especially here in Utah, where we are notorious for our diverse landscapes, and population of phenomenally attractive people. When your entire environment is beautiful, it starts to feel predictable and dull. What brands require to stand out among all this is intention, and something with a bit of bite. Push against the grain and harness imagery that makes people stop and question.

That’s exactly what we did.

Minimal studio. Sculptural posing. Graphic black styling that feels fluid and somewhat confrontational. Precision makeup that sharpens every expression. And then, we introduced a caiman.

A real one…

Elevated Branding Photography That Builds Mythology

There is a very specific shift that happens when editorial photography moves from “content creation” into true brand storytelling. Details are scrupulously poured over and the right talents are brought into to curate a vision. It takes a team to create impactful art.

Melding a reptile into a fashion forward can lean kitschy and awkward if not done correctly, so making it a priority to invest in individuals that are capable of cohesion is incredible important. These images would never have looked this enticing without a clear storyline that we were all working towards.

This is where elevated branding photography begins to do real work for fashion brands. It stops documenting garments and starts constructing narrative around them. Suddenly the imagery doesn’t just support a launch, it defines it.

For designers building collections, for models refining portfolios, for brands trying to separate themselves in saturated markets, this level of editorial intention is no longer optional. It is the difference between being seen and being remembered.

For fashion brands, this translates directly into stronger visual authority. The audience may not consciously register why an image feels elevated — but they feel it. And feeling drives engagement far more than perfection ever will.

Branding with a Bite

Not every brand needs editorial imagery, but the ones that are ready to lead visually,  eventually reach a moment where safe no longer feels strategic.

That is where I come in.

I work with Utah and international fashion brands, designers, and models who are ready to create campaign visuals that hold attention. This is not about producing more images, but rather it is about producing the right ones.

If you are preparing for a launch, repositioning your brand, or simply ready to create editorial work that reflects the level you are stepping into, I invite you to start the conversation.
