This styled shoot was designed to reframe the way we think about wedding aesthetics, elevating traditional romance with a modern, editorial edge. Every design choice was intentional, from the sculptural floral installations to the minimalist yet statement-making fashion. Set against the historic, architectural backdrop of The Fifth Floor, the shoot brings together bold textures, refined details, and an effortlessly sophisticated palette. It’s a visual narrative meant to inspire brides who crave a wedding day that’s a perfectly curated work of art.
As as an editorial wedding photographer, I’m drawn to contrast. Light and shadow, as well as the dichotomy between raw texture and polished design. The Fifth Floor gave us the perfect canvas, with its exposed brick, moody light, and tall windows that set the perfect tone for your deeply romantic wedding day.

Modern Bridal Fashion, Two Ways
We styled two looks that are both elegant and highlight the trends of bridal fashion, but in completely different ways. One gown had a full structured skirt with subtle embroidery—elegant and soft. The other was sleek and statuesque, with a thigh-high slit and cowl neckline. Together, they told a story of duality: regal and modern versus more romantic with a slight edge.
Both gowns are from the incomparable Bodal Bridal, that is a local Utah Based Bridal Design company that has been providing unique and couture gowns for Utah Brides since 2015. They carry a wide variety of designs to accommodate every brides personal style.

Florals That Feel Like Art
A team of florists, consisting of Blooms by Marley , Wild Aura Floral, and Sarang Arrangements created installations that felt like stepping into a painting. We paired warm terracotta, rich burgundy, soft mauve, and plenty of texture with a sculptural gold ceremony arch and flowing draped fabric. Everything was styled with intention to set the mood for this elevated styled shoot.
This was an exercise in the unexpected. Florals don’t have to be predictable. They can be dramatic, colorful, and an interesting design element that leaves your guests with their jaws on the floor.
The Confectionary Showstopper
Yes, the cake had its moment, and rightfully so. This three-tiered design from Summit Cake Design was clean and architectural, with sugar wrap detailing that mimicked the folds of silk. Surrounded by florals, it stood like a modern art piece in the middle of it all. Robi, the artist, is a master at her craft, and whether you want a stacked cake to tower over you, or small little macaron morsels, she will go above and beyond to make sure you have edible masterpieces.
I love when every element of a wedding, from the dress to the dessert, feels thoughtfully connected. That’s what makes a wedding day’s design truly sing.
